This past weekend, our Kinder 2 studentswent to free sea turtles with their families!
With the help of Fundación Domenech, ourteachers organized the liberation of turtles. Fundación Domenech believes indeveloping social and environmental projects on the beach "Costa delSol." They aim to improve the quality of life in the area and that of itsinhabitants.
The liberation of turtles was a wonderfulexperience to culminate our Sea Turtle Project. This project is part of our CARMethodologies in which our students cooperated to build their knowledge, wereactively involved in the investigation of each turtle, their life cycle andcharacteristics, and reflected on the solutions to the problems they have tosurvive.
Their learning environment went past theclassroom and into the real world. Our students mainly worked on and developedcompetencies:
