Countdown to renew our AdvancED Accreditation

In order to continue our journey in the AdvancED Improvement Network, to which Highlands belongs since 2015, and to remain down the path of the continuous improvement philosophy, our Principal, Ing. Alvaro López Ortega, attended the “AdvancED Global Conference: Latin America”, last weekend in Guadalajara, México. Ing. Alvaro participated in the event with representatives from 200 institutions that are also members of the AdvancED Community. During these three years, Colegio Highlands has been working on accomplishing different goals and on improving based on the objectives that the first AdvancED Accreditation set for us. “AdvancED is a community of over 36,000 schools and school systems around the globe. While its members may have unique needs and visions for their institutions, all are dedicated to their students, parents and communities, and all are focused on learner advancement while using continuous improvement as the guiding force.” The accreditation process will be renewed in April 2020, for another five years, because it is an ongoing improvement path that should never end. In order to prepare and lead the Highlands AdvancED teams, Miss Kandy de Duque, Academic Vice Principal, will also attend the “AdvancED Global Conference” at Atlanta, Georgia, in December. Always with you, always higher!
